Urban environmental policies and social capacity development (Kakenhi)
This project is funded by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science
(JSPS), in the scheme of Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (Kakenhi).
It is titled “Urban environmental policies and social capacity development”,
and the project duration is from 2004 to 2007. The project team consists
of six professors, headed by Matsuoka. The project aims to develop
comprehensive indicators of the social capacity for environmental
management, and also examine how different social actors, such as
government and business firms, can influence the formation and the
result of the policies. The project final report is to be completed
at the end of 2007.
